Help with clutch pedal

Hi! I need help with the pedal. I changed the master cylinder and noticed the pedal sits too low. Inspecting the old master found that about an inch was added to the push rod, and the pedal seems to be welded too.. My question is, can I use the old push rod? Will the added inch of travel affect the new master? Or, do I need to reweld the pedal? Maybe somebody has a clutch pedal's picture so I can see how it is supposed to be. :???:

I don't follow, someone re-welded your clutch pedal? I can't access my Photobucket account on school computers, but if you look on my build thread (end of first page or beginning of second) I have a picture of the pedals. There's a link in my signature.

 

If someone customized your pedal, sounds like it would be worth a trip to the JY to find a good one.
