snakedoc67
Does anyone know of a site where the Jeep part number from the parts manual can be referenced to find out the actual size of the bolt/nut? For example: type in Part number J400 6951 is ________. (thermostat housing bolt). Took out most of the left side of the engine compartment for cleaning and refurbishment when my radiator went bad and forgot which bolt goes where. Also none of the local JY's have anything older than a 93 Cherokee at the moment so can't use it for a blueprint. lol
HOrnbrod
Yes, that can be a problem. Chrysler started detailing bolt/nut hardware part numbers by thread pitch, bolt type, and length around 1997 in their factory parts manuals. Before that you are basically SOL, unless the same p/n was carried up into these later years. AMC never provided hardware details except for the p/n.
