87 Sport

Well I have been searching for a Comanche for some time and finally found one that I want and it the budget.  It is a 1987 sport truck, inline 6 with five on the floor and 4x4.  Well here she is.   

 

The seat is in excellent condition and I do have the door panels for both doors.  The tail gate does need a left side bracket and I don't even know where to begin to look for that.  Other then that the body is decent.  I listen to the every one advice and pulled the carpet and this is what I found 

This was my first clue about the problem with the rust.  

Goes through to the fender.  That is the weather guard.

 

So i took a wire brush to it and got most of it gone.  I did not take a pic of that and then spray it with rust converter.  Now I am on my way to home depot to pick up some supplies for it.  More to come
