Removing Distributor

1992 4.0L HO. Trying to remove the distributor to replace the gasket and hopefully reduce the oil leak. Removed nut from hold down clamp and twisted body back and forth but only raised distributor about 1/2 inch. Now it's stuck. Body won't turn and won't come up any higher.

 

What's the secret to getting the distributor out??? If it's this hard to get out what will it be like to get it back in? Can't exactly hammer it into position.

I got it. I gently tapped it back in the hole after giving it a light spray with wd-40. Then it came out freely. It must have gotten it of vertical when I was pulling it up. All done and back in with a new gasket.
