Military Comanche?

Were there ever any Comanches used by the US Military?

I have actually research this before i painted mine i didnt find them to have been. I know XJs have and there are a crapload of them still being used some places. Even where I'm at in the desert there are more XJs on the base then asnything else but they are all OLd and been here awhile. I may have missed something but from my research NO.

I have seen two 86 Comanches that were used at one of the Navy bases on the east coast and 1 88 or 89 over in Saudi back in 99. There was nothing special about them though.

 

All were base models, the 86s were 4 cyl 4 speeds and the 88/9 was a 4.0 auto.
