comancheman Posted April 20, 2007 Share Posted April 20, 2007 can anyone tell me if the tail pipe for a 7ft bed is much different then the tail pipe for a 6ft bed because it seems like every parts store around here has the 7ft bed listed for $20-$30 bucks cheaper then the 6ft. i know it would be longer but could i just cut it down and expand the new end? comancheon33 Posted April 20, 2007 Share Posted April 20, 2007 The rear most section of the tailpipe is alot longer. It could be fitted to a short box but not worth the effort in imho. I would just have an exhaust shop bend one up for you. It is prolly about the same price of the prebent and built of higher quality pipe. I know because I work in an a shop that does alot of exhaust and won't run a prebent on anything I own ever again. To pricey and way thin pipe.
