kq.echo.413 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I called my local Napa about a new speedo cable.. The gentleman asked if I needed a 67 inch or 89 inch cable..I have a 89 pioneer not really sure why there is two lengths and can anyone one tell me the length I need to order Thank you
AeroNautical Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I don't know the lengths of stock speedo cables, but they did put two different lengths in our trucks, one for 2wd and 4wd. There is no way one is 22 inches shorter than the other, though. I've got both, I'll see if I can measure them out for you tomorrow.

AeroNautical Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 70 inches for a 2wd speedo cable, turns out mine was sitting within reach to measure it out. Having a little slack is fine as long as you keep it from kinking too much. Kinks mean bounce in the speedometer. So does bad lubrication.
