carnuck Posted September 22, 2013 Share Posted September 22, 2013 87 Comanche shortbox 4x4 $3000 Currently my daily driver since I converted it to 4x4 and auto at the same time.Current config: 4.0L, AW4/NP242. It has 2wd, AWD, 4 hi lock, 4 low and 2 low if you unlock the vacuum axle. (I have a separate switch) Picked up a replacement AW4 trans to put in next week. Wiring harness and computer from a '90 XJ installed. (no C101 connector problem!) Lifted 5 1/2" with front coils, extended front lower arms and longer brake hoses with an adjustable tracbar. Alignment done. Reinforced Front skidplate (just bought), and fuel tank skidplate, Rear is SOA D35 still (3.73 gears) and equivalent to Metric Tonne spring package.Tires are 33/9.50/15 in decent shape on TJ rimsOpen style Rad with cap was replaced 2 years ago (new rad going in since it sprung a leak in the trans cooler) Factory external trans coolerNew muffler in '05 (cat is empty, but it passed E test sniffer that way) '98 XJ Double brake booster installed Driveshafts are new.Usual PS/PB/tilt (column shift), no AC (was going to do onboard air with the already installed old compressor}. I also have the heater box from an XJ with AC.Bench seat (have a spare dark blue one and blue carpet to go with)Hasn't seen any serious offroading (other than my driveway in winter which about rates a class 2)Comes with this canopy and roll bar. 2200lbs (Metric Tonne) of wet gravel Extended front bumper (chrome to go with the swapped in chrome grill) with space for hidden winch and extra bracing for the frame corners.
