87 Mj Motor Worn Out Engine Swap Question

Ok my mj has a 2.5 4 speed  . Lots of blow by leaking oil everywhere.

I was wanting to do a diesel conversion . However I can not seem to tear apart my mercedes to rob the engine

So I have the following (seeking some input ) 89 laredo parts jeep . Have not started the engine .

A 305 sbc compete in a 2 wheel drive . 4.3 out of early 80s pick up .

 

Jeep would be a driver mainly during weekends and winter . 

Do I just rebuild the 2.5 or ? Or do I find another om617 and do a divorced transfer case ? 

I am not rich by no means . However I can sell things to make a deal happen .

 

And as far as being able to do any of the swaps myself .  I have done several over the
