Dracokain Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I have noticed as of late that when I come to a stop for about 5 seconds or so my brakes slowly lose pressure and eventually drop to the floor. I replaced my brake booster after finding this out because a friend of mine had a problem with the bladder in his booster and thought that mine my be going out, after replacing the booster and bleeding the brake lines from back to front it is still happening. I am not losing fluid since the level has been staying the same. Could I need to replace my master cylinder or could there be some different underlying problem that I am not noticing? Any help would be appreciated, thank you so much!
Eagle Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 If a new booster didn't solve it, and the fluid level isn't going down, the master cylinder is the next likely suspect.
Dracokain Posted August 8, 2013 Author Posted August 8, 2013 Cool thank you, I guess I have something to do this weekend now.
1989 Eliminator Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 I highly recommend the dual diaphragm brake booster and MC conversion. Well worth $180 and you get double the braking power. Search 1996 dual diaphram brake booster conversion
