Puke Goat??

Ok,

I am new to the jeep world and off roading in general, as this is my first off-road vehicle. I have seen several people describe their engine as a Puke Goat.

I am just curious as to what exactly that means.

a peugot transmission, found in earlier jeeps is often referd to as a puke goat, as it has the bad habit of dieing

given that he has an 88 he may very well have said tranny. Unless someone has already swapped it.

I believe that everything about the vehicle is still stock.

My wife's grandfather bought it in 95 with 120k miles on it.

He gave it to me for Christmas (2005) and it only had 140K miles on it.

He did nothing to it except for routine maintenance.
