? About 97+ Front Swap

I am doing the 97+ front end swap. I am not changing the interior as of yet. What have you done about the double light socket in the front marker lights. My original 92 has a single socket and the new 97+ has a dual hole.

Trying to get some ideas, is it a simple splice another socket in or could this be a fire hazard?

This is how she sits right now. Still alot of work to do but its coming along slowly

I just used one bulb in each lamp. Of course, in the unused holes, I inserted the empty sockets to protect against moisture getting in. I guess that would bother people with OCD, but it works for me.

Thanks johnnyc. I didn't think about closing the other socket. This is why I like to ask people who have "been there done that".
