GirsMJ86
Noticed today while looking over the new rig a bit more that there are small twigs and other crud in the radiator when I removed the cap. What would be the best course of action to clean it out? Would taking it for a flush do it or is there something else that should be done? Last thing I need is an actual reason for the 2.8L to explode on me.
metrictonner
After four or five years of running hot with crud that wouldn't be flushed I fixed everything by buying a new radiator. The install was tricky, requiring cutting and bending because no one makes an OEM anymore. Life is now good again.
GirsMJ86
I was afraid a radiator replacement was my best choice, just was hoping a cheaper option would work. Rockauto seems to have some that claim to be OE replacement for the 2.8L, guess I will just have to order one and find out. If I do end up having to modify, hopefully I can move the rad forward to give my electric fan some more clearance.
