Newer 231 Cable Speedometer?

Is there any way to make my transfercase use a cable speedometer drive or am I stuck with this stupid sensor?

If it's the older style sensor, unscrew the sensor and screw the cable on.

If it's a newer one, take the sensor out and put the cable sender in.

Yup, unless you have an 86.

I do have an 86 and the 231 is out of a 96. But my 86 had a 231 also

Not if it was the original T-case.  Did you put the older 231 in?

No I got it with a blown 2.5 tbi engine mated to a ax5 with a 231 even had the command track logo on the back
