JFAComanche6
I have a 2wd Peugeot BA 10/5 5 speed transmission for $100, it works I just don't want it in the garage anymore, same as the axle. The axle has brand new wheel bearings, brake pads and hardware, and ball joints, all with less than 10k miles on them. $180 for the axle. I also have a 2wd driveshaft for a swb and 2wd speedo cable. And a p.s. taillight.

jpnjim
It sounds crazy, but that 2wd BA can be converted to 4wd. If you remove the tailhousing, you'll see that 8-10" or so of the output shaft is splined. 21 spline, just like the 4wd BA's output spline to the T-case Shorten the output to the right length, swap the tailhousing for a 4wd output housing (salvaged from a blown up 4wd trans) and you have a 4wd trans instead of a 2wd. More work than most would want to do for a BA, but might be worthwhile for a broke kid with a blown up 4wd BA
