HOrnbrod
So I grabbed a alternator out of a 95 xj 140 amp that my buddy bought, other than changing the plug, it went in like a glove!, bad thing is I had to give it back to my buddy ! :-( but know I know that 95xj will fit just fine!!! :-) First, no 95 XJ ever came with a 140A alternator from the factory. 117A was the largest and 90% of them were 90A. Second, you're thinking of putting this 95 XJ Nippon Denso alternator into a Renix, correct? 91+ ND alternators are regulated by the ECU; the Renix alt is internally regulated. Do you have a clue as to how you will regulate the 95 ND alternator? If you don't, suggest you consider an upgraded Renix alternator as posted above by Gjeep. Kona
No, I'm not replacing for a 95, my comments was only that it fits ( the brackets) and yes he has a 140Amp, I don't think is factory., but I am doing renix upgrade eventually. Okay. I read somewhere there was a pulley alignment problem when using the Renix brackets for the ND alt shell, but forgot where.........
