There Is No Such Thing As Too Much Ground

FWIW - - - Thought my stock 87 4.0 AW4 MJ was running ok - 19-20mpg & then read a post about replacing the auto idle speed motor even though . . . .Another post somewhere about TPS problems prompted a check before enough miles were logged to judge the new IAC install. . . . . New TPS time . . . . .Seemed like the new IAC & TPS made a bit of a dif & then my dash lights grew a little brighter & then went back to normal - normal for my truck - & so now it's time to ck grounds & everything seems ok but, remembering some problems with other makes & my 1st instructor back in E school who was always saying "THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS TOO MUCH GROUND", I ran a #2 strand from battery neg to PS radiator top brace/header & then another from DS brace/header to Pwr Steering mount - WOW, seems there was a ground problem somewhere - Readjusted the TPS & Trans shifting is noticeably better & 20-21 mpg - - - I normally avoid the shotgun approach - don't know what made the biggest dif here but the ground thing seemed to be the catalyst.
