87Chief Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I replaced my headliner awhile back and ever since I did it I have heard everything much louder.. Like there is no headliner there at all... I got a used one from the junkyard because my old ripped when taking it out.. Could it be something with that? Should I take it out again and put insulation up top? I plan on taking the interior out here soon, again, to put some speakers in. Thanks for any advise...
ParadiseMJ Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 I put foil lined buble type insulation in there...doesn't seem you'd have to, I just did it for heat/cold. I didn't even think about it for noise. I did the same with my XJ. I wouldn't say either Jeep is "quiet". I was surprised the wasn't already some sort of noise/temperature dampening up there from the factory.
