water leaking around the fuse block (renix)

When i replaced my wiring harness the 20 year old foam seal disintergrated so i used some foam rubber weather stripping that I had laying around, well I must have missed a few corners cause when it rains I get a stream of water leaking past it dripping onto my feet.

I was thinking of using some polyeurethane caulk but considering the tight quarters on the engine bay side I think I would just end up with a real big mess,

any other ideas?

 

I was thinking of that pudy stuff, I have head it called monkey (poop) were do I get some of that?

Seems that it should not leak with a good seal/gasket, but here's
