knever3
"87 Jeep Comanche 4x4 auto 4.0L, cruise from a '90xj swapped in along with the computer and harness complete with fuse box etc. My cruise control isn't working. I replaced the stalk on the column and checked the wiring and can't figure it out. The white wire is plugged into the fuse box for power, the box is connected under the dash, all the connectors are plugged in and the linkage is hooked up. So where do I go from here? I noticed there is a 4 amp fuse inline under the dash and when I turn the ignition on it doesn't have power. I don't know what this fuse if for if it doesn't work with the ignition on? Thoughts?
JeffN
Do you have the switch for the brake pedal in place? It won't work without one.
bighause
I did the same swap and had two problems, I didn't hook up the "telephone wire" (I think that's what it's called) it's the thin one that runs to the stalk. Its not part of the 2 large connectors that are on the column. I also found out my switch on the stalk has to be wiggled a little sometimes for it to work. Yes I have the brake switch hooked up along with the vacuum lines. I haven't read the scematic and tested each wire yet though. Thanks!
