89Patches 2000 Build...

Recommended Posts

I have been working on the 8.8 now for the past 3 days and today I finally got it in, I now just need to get a new diff cover and do the brakes. And hopefully this week I can get my new drive shaft made. I also got some "sorta" new 265/75/R16 tires. I now have to finish cleaning and painting the rear frame section and make my gas tanks mounts (so its not attached to the bed), then the truck is ready for paint and body work.

And if you noticed in the first pic the one tire is bald, but don't worry it's only my new spare...

I didn't take any pictures of the progress on the axle because I just wanted it done with no delays :D

So its been awhile since I updated and I am sad to say that progress on the Manche may slow up for a bit, well because I bought a 92 Eagle Talon Tsi I just couldn't pass up the deal. While I was going to pick it up from my bros shop he had part of a old roll cage that I got to make into my new front bumper, So now its Picture time...

So this is what I started out with

So I wanted to do an a mock up of what I want the bumper to look like. So I just cut some card board templates and taped to the tubing and painted it black to see what it would look like when done..

I think when all done it would look bad@$$ with a winch. I may cut it done abit more. So what do you guys think?

I have use rough riders before, for the price there a good tire and are good off road and quiet on road but they wear down really fast, and depends what ply you get. I never checked when I got mine and they only 4 ply :(

Lately I haven't done much to the MJ, but I have made my own disconnects, got a brand new hitch for $50, a windshield for free, I also picked up a set of Toyota 4 pot calipers, and today I actually worked on the comanche and got the tranny cooler done along with the fuel lines... hopefully I can get this thing done sometime in October and put it on the road, and start building my talon in the winter. and I got my intake done too..

Now to the PICTURES!!!!!! :rotfl2:

So I actually have a update!!! :D Well I never realized how much dirt, sand and salt can get in your frame rails so I pulled part of the rear frame off and emptied the dirt out I couldn't believe there was 35lbs!!!!! Then I painted and oiled the inside and welded some new metal in. I also finally finished the 8.8, I just waited so long since I wanted brakes for my birthday, lol and since the ford flex line was wrecked I used 2 passenger side flex lines and the D35 Flex line....

Its hard to see how much crud was actually in there

And tonight I filled the 8.8 with gear oil, so thats all for now, Cheers.
