Shane
Here's the story. :wrench: I did the swap to the full cluster with needles. Switched out all the sending units. Everything seemed to be working okay :D ; with the exception of the speedometer. When stopped sometimes it goes down to 0 and sometimes it stops at 5 mph. Now when I fill up my gas tank the needle only goes to 3/4. (Please on the next part, I am asking nicely don't bash my family). After a month or so my wife tells me that when I had the gauges out and in my "work spot" in the garage that my 4 yr. old pulled the needles off and tried to put them on her Barbie Jeep  . She got them from her and just stuck them back on. Can this be fixed with out spending alot? :wall: Is there a home remidy for this or what? :wall: Is there like a rule of thumb on where to place them? :wall: Any help is appreciated. Zenobian_84
Not 100% sure, but I've learned that if you pull the needles off, there isn't a way to re-calibrate them back so that they'll display properly. If this is true, you'll probably have to get a hold of a new gas gauge to swap in. But then again, even if it isn't true, I'd still go ahead and swap a new gas gauge; when your gauge only shows 3/4 when full, I'm pretty sure it's going south. That, or you have a leak in your tank (probably not) *knock on wood* Hope this helps.
