skimore11
My left turn signal does not work because the middle bulb has an intermittent connection. It lights with braking so its not the bulb. Does anyone know if the 1/4 turn bulb socket is the same as a Cherokee? The wiring is pretty corroded and I think it would be easier to replace then try and restore. 87manche
easy way to find out is to see if they take the same bulb. I don't think they are though, as we have stop/turn/tail bulbs, and cherokees have seperate bulbs for stop/turn. Go and look at the parts store in the lighting section, they have an assortment of standard bulb holders and they're uually a few bucks.
Eagle
The Cherokee uses single-contact bulbs for the turn signals (the amber portion of the housing) and double terminal bulbs for the brake & tail lights (the red portion of the housing). The brake-tail lights on the MJ are all double terminal. You should be able to use the brake light sockets from an XJ, or you can buy brand new replacement sockets from a parts place for about 5 bucks.
