BryGuy
Based on the fitting in the red circle: 1. What is the name of this fitting? 2. What tool is used to remove/install them? If anyone is wondering what/who's incredibly clean engine is that??? It's a 4.6L Stroker done by fourwheeler.com
JeffN
it is a crimp connector that attaches the a/c rubber hose to the metal line, not really serviceable.
BryGuy
it is a crimp connector that attaches the a/c rubber hose to the metal line, not really serviceable. Thanks. I looked up A/C Hose Crimpers and they're pretty pricey. I was hoping that I'd be able to build my own lines after the engine rebuild (my lines are in rough shape), but it will probably be cheaper to replace them with OEM parts. SubSonic
Check for a localized shop that specializes in custom hoses. I've had some AC lines built-while-you-wait to my spec for various application, and generally a bunch cheaper than OEM.
