D44 swap

looking at the drive shaft chart my stock drive shaft is 43.25 inches from the CT to the D35.. the chart also says the D44 uses a 42.25 inch... so just to confirm I need to get a new drive shaft or have my current one shortened, or is there a way i can make due with what i have?

 

what are some good spring perches? and i plan to keep it spring under axle.. the D44 came from a 91 Cherokee 2wd

I used my stock shaft when I did my dana 44 swap. Mine cane out of an MJ but it should be the same. I now have a lift and new shaft but I ran it at stock height with the stock shaft for about a year.

It's easier to cut down the yoke than it is the driveshaft. As long as the yoke doesn't bottom out internally you should be able to cut it down a bit if needed.
