87Chief
So I got my new speakers in and I got the siding off and everything. The old speakers have a plug on the back but my new speakers didn't come with one... Should I just cut and splice? Also on the back of the truck (interior) I have a carpet part and it came off pretty rough, it has little black metal pin-like things, do they just snap back on? One more thing, which is positive and which is ground coming from the MJ? brown positive? Thanks.
flint54
The back panel plactic posts are replaceable, and universal ones should be available at any auto parts store. I think that brown lead is negative, but if you pull the radio (assuming OEM) I think there should be a diagram.
mfpdm
My general rule is to avoid cutting and splicing. There are speaker adapter wires that can be had for a few bucks. Check the link below and ebay. http://www.metraonline.com/part/72-1002
