mvusse Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Is it possible the 2001 WJ Grand Cherokee axles are actually 2001 XJ Cherokee? IIRC the WJ has a three link coil sprung rear, but that rear looks like am XJ leaf spring setup with the opposing shock mounts. If it's XJ the bolt pattern will match the ZJ front axle. If it's WJ it is lager (5 on 5" instead of 5 on 4.5"). Also on the WJ the drag link goes to the top of a knuckle on the passenger side instead of connecting to the tie rod a foot or so inboard from the knuckle.
