jimoshel
Any body have a way to remove the plastic fittings on top of the valve cover without breaking them, or cutting the rubber gasket? This is the big fresh air intake from the air filter box and the little one going to the intake manifold. How do you get the plastic hose off the fitting? I'm thinking heat, hair dryer, might work there. :wrench:
vaquaro
 I used a tapered feeler gauge blade (45 degree w/ no sharp edges to cut the rubber ) from the outer edge and down to deflect the lower edge of the grommet , then slowly lifted the upper edge up with a flat blade screwdriver while moving the feeler blade in the opposite direction . The grommet just sort of screws itself out . Slow and easy does it
