gas gauge

does anyone know the resistance value of the sending unit in an 88 4.0. my tank is 13 or 18 gals. i don't know which. a short bed.

 

ex 0-30, 0-90 ohms etc.

Your gas tank capacity is 18.5 gal.

gas sending resistance

Empty=0 ohms

half full=44 ohms

Full=88 ohms

thank you, Sir. so its a gm sending unit which measures 0-90 ohms. i have the wrong autometer gauge,( 0-30 ohms ). so the hotrod pack of gauges from summit (1402), gives you the wrong gauge, although its for a gm car????? they do give you with the pack, a sending unit for the gas gauge. :dunno:
