gconcilio
My 88 Comanche 2.5l is getting harder to start. It cranks for more than 5 seconds before it starts. The fuel pressure at the throtle body is 15 psi with the engine running. As soon as I shut it down, it drops to 0. Is it possible that there is a check valve in the fuel pump that is not working? Should the system hold pressure when the engine is off? It seems to be running fine when it is running.
Craft86MJ
Have you tried turning the key to the on position and waiting a few seconds then trying to start it. Sounds like a bad check valve to me.
