I saw a news story about this organization last night, and checked out the website this morning. I singed on to volunteer if a need arises in my area. They do everything from ground-up house construction, to retrofitting existing servicemembers homes if they become handicapped, to make the houses more accessible. They also accept business dontations for materials. Please pass this along to anyone you might think would be intersted in helping out.

 

It's a nationwide organization, and you can sign up to volunteer on the site under the "Donate" link. Your name gets added to a database, and they contact you when/if a project comes up in your area.
