tbrand
So, took my truck in today to get a new muffler, finally. The guy took one look under it and says they won't work on it till they track down the gas leak, that I didn't know I had. I looked under the truck, and saw was these streaks on the tank, which I didn't notice a few weeks ago when I did the oil change, so I assume they're new. What are some common culprits or diagnosis tips? There are no constant drips or anything that I can see.

tbrand
Lemme guess - I need to drop my tank to effectively check those items? :wall:
cody4359
its be helpful. or clean the tank off, then fill it and drive around for a little then check for runs/drips. but if you found your problem that way youd be stuck with a full tank
tbrand
There's a possibility I lucked out - looks like the hose clamp on the fuel filter had come just a little bit loose. Will double check tomorrow - thanks for the suggestions guys! Knew I could count on you.
Exgrayxj
Looks like it was blowing back onto the tank, much easier to tighten it than replace tank. Curse you and your clean rust free frame... I'm jealous. ;)
