JeffN
Does anyone know what powers the bulb behind the factory clock on a 90 Eliminator? My manual shows no wiring for it and the socket itself is dead, the clock works i just can barely see it. All the fuses in the panel are good and it won't come on with the dash lights. I did a search but the only posts i could find are on swapping the clock with a different year it seems.
glundblad
I never paid attention but I assumed it was simply an LED and there was no light. Consequently, if it doesnt illuminate, it is going bad. But as I say, I am only assuming. Anyone?
HOrnbrod
On the 1990 clocks there's a #74 incandescent wedge bulb on the rear of the clock. It's powered by the dash light illumination circuit. In 1991 they went to the LED for backlighting.
