irreagular idle

I have a 1987 jeep comanche with a 2.5 tbi. I was wondering if anyone know about an irregular idle. I thought if it was a common problem then someone else has most likely dealt with it. I figured I would try to find out here before beginning to diagnose it. The only thought I have so far is possibly the throttle position sensor. Just curious if anyone knows the likely cause. It sometimes jumps, but most of the time it just idles slightly high.

My 4.0 idles high. I've heard that disassembling and cleaning the throttle body can help, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
