nipcat206 Posted December 20, 2010 Share Posted December 20, 2010 I put in new resistor,old one was replaced 5 years ago and still looks new, I plugged another blower motor into plug under hood and still have only high speed. Comanche County Posted December 20, 2010 Share Posted December 20, 2010 Had a similar problem with an XJ. The contacts inside the actual switch had melted. IIRC high was the default,,,,it may depend on how its melted though. I just replaced the entire Temp/Fan Control switch module from a JY XJ. Then it happened again, the actual culprit was the connector. It had melted and ruined the switch.
