btm24 Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 So I was thinking about the's: http://www.quadratec.com/products/97009_02.htm any thoughts? any body used them before? just let me know your opinion thanks Brandon
kyleag89 Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Kind of pricey for a headlight that might not be what is described. I would add a nice set of fog lights before updating the stock headlights. On my truck I just bought OEM lights and replaced the actual plug that goes to the light and they got 20% brighter.
btm24 Posted December 20, 2010 Author Posted December 20, 2010 I have fog lights and they are "OK". I am looking for a better night time driving light. thanks for the thoughts tho Brandon
deziped Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I replaced mine with Auto Pal lights off of ebay. How-ever, I'm considering replacing them with Hella e code lights for a better light distribution pattern on both hi & lo beam. The e Auto Pal are bright but the light is focused in a narrow beam in my opinion which doesn't put enough light to the road sides. I want to at least see that deer before I smack it at speed. A good set of Hella 500 fogs with 100w bulbs is better than both if you want to light it up off-road.
TrailReadyMJ Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Try this before you buy expensive bulbs, it may be all you need. Takes a bit of electrical know how, but Marcus does an excellent job with his write-ups! http://gojeep.willyshotrod.com/HowtoHeadlightLoom.htm I had this setup on my old XJ, and will be doing the MJ soon. makes a world of difference!
