I have see it down there but i never was sure what it was or what it does it looks like part of hooked up and the hose is no attached. Automan2164 Posted November 22, 2010 Share Posted November 22, 2010 Under normal driving, your engine creates vacuum. The Comanche uses vacuum to control many things, like the HVAC blend door, as well as the central axle disconnect. Under wide open throttle, the butterfly on the throttle body is open, reducing available vacuum. So think of it like a reservoir for vacuum pressure in times of high demand/low supply. Rob L.
