Druville
I got a tach from the auotparts store yesterday, and was wondering where the pickup wire goes. I'm a chevy guy so this stuff is a little differnt for me, I'm used to there being a lead right on the distributor that you just plug into. How do the factory ones work? Will i need to tap into the factory harness or do I need to run into the wires that come off the distributor? I appreciate any help, this MJ is starting to turn into a pretty nice truck. I plan to start a project page as soon as i get up enough parts to actually show some improvements.
CWLONGSHOT
I thought it went to one side of the coil?? Thats the way they USED to go anyway???? CW
Eagle
The black wire goes to ground and the tach feed wire comes off the negative terminal on the coil. At least, that's how the instructions for my Sun Super Tach said to wire it. What kind of tach did you buy that doesn't come with wiring instructions?
