"Just @#*$%! Hammer it" (Another Rant)

I'm going to make this a very short rant (As I typed this hole thing 10minutes ago and my computer decided to lock up and need to be restarted) I went wheelin today with some friends and my wife. We approached a rock section of the trail (As some of you know I am no rock crawler) So I pulled over to allow the following rigs to pass. I loomed in my mirror and saw my buddy Jay coming barreling down the trail flashing his lights at us. Over the Cb there were mixed voices yelling "Get out of the way" "Move, F*****g move" and my wife screaming in my ear and I quote "F*****g Hammer it". I made my attempt to get out of there, which ended up with my poor Manche getting air off of the rock pile and landing just ever so gently in the brush on the other side. After making sure the wife was okay I ran over to see what just happened. My buddy in his 6million pound Chevy slammed into the rocks and his truck died out there. Apparently his master cylinder decided it had better things to do with it's life and stopped working, He did down shift to manually slow it down but due to his hand throttle that was less then effective (Why he didn't lower the hand throttle is beyond me, guess it was a split second of fear were only basic motor skills functioned)

Fast forward an hour or so we have pulled Jays rig to the road and awaited a tow truck to bring it to its respected driveway. My little Manche is coughing, and has come down with a terrible cold. :headpop: :

Fast forward another hour or so, I finally got my Manche home, only having it sputter to a screeching death at a few red lights  I decided to checkout what was going on under the hood.

Problem #1 My motor mount decided it no longer wanted to be part of my rig and fled for it's life, Causing a small crack in my exhaust manifold..Somehow.

Problem #2 Video It would seem a object or two have taken refuge inside my Cat, which would explain the crappy crappy idle (after dropping the cat it idles very smooth and sounds awesome  (Click the picture to watch)

I didn't bring my camera wheelin today (What else is new...) so there are no carnage pictures  But I can show you that I out ran this bad boy.

Getting hit by it probably would have caused a few complications with my day.

  End rant...for now   (Can you honestly look at that smiley without laughing?)

Haha well I hope I have a good day coming up in my future, I think after all the bad luck I've had this year I deserve something good. I do agree "Crunch" would deffenatly be a great rant about how my truck got run over by a huge @$$ Chevy.

As for that Chevy and its direction....

I was approaching the base of the rocks to climb up them, the Chevy was about 5-7 car lengths behind me. Then his brakes went out forcing me too attempt the rocks at full speed.

On a happy note I have fixed everything except the motor mounts, and we have replaced the brake system in the Chevy! I hate to say it, but I love that truck.
