dasbulliwagen
Bosses truck, 88 MJ 4.0, AW4 4x4, all stock. While accelerating it seems to surge up and down enough to rock you back and forth while driving it. It does it some too while steady driving, but not as bad. He also said that sometimes it will bog out if you try to get on it hard. Not sure if related or not, but I'm having vacuum issues on it too to the point of it constantly changing the AC vent settings from vent to defrost and back depending on how far you are into with the gas pedal. I know that the farther open the throttle the less vacuum is available, but following the vac lines to the bulb and back there does not appear to be any breaks or issues anywhere. Same goes for the vac lines to the EGR and the air box thermostatic bypass. Any ideas? Id greatly appreciate it, and gain more brownie points with the boss. HOrnbrod
Bad O2 sensor switching between open and closed loop? Had one that did that once. Also pull the hoses of the EGR and MAP and see if that makes a difference. :dunno:
