scorn86
So i went to replace the fuel pump today. Seemed like it would be a straight forward job with no problems. I got the old one pulled in about 10 minutes then i compare it to the new one and its a bit different. The new one doesn't fit into the hanger assembly. My old pump says Carter 900 on the side and the new one is an airtex from autozone. The inlet of the new pump is nowhere near the same. Any ideas why they would be so different? jimoshel
What engine? I would assume from the Question it's a 2.5, electric fuel pump in gas tank. Sounds like you just got the wrong pump. Take your old pump in to the parts store and have the jerk,er clerk compare it.
