ParadiseMJ
Looking on the shelf at gear lube I notice that some of the containers say LS, for Limited Slip Differentials. Can I trust the pre-mix or should I just buy regular gear lube and add the friction modifier myself? D44 LSD
jpdocdave
i'm not 1,000% but so far from what i've seen you can trust it, no need to buy additive.
jpnjim
You have to read the container. Years ago, the Castrol I was using said "for limited slips", then the back of the container said: "good for topping off", or something to that extent. Meaning: if you already have an axle, with the friction modifier in it, and it's low, use this stuff. Personally, I would only trust it if it said "includes friction modifier". CWLONGSHOT
I just swapped my fluid in my ECTED two weeks ago. Checking my Auburn manuel said that you muct use the modifier, even on the bottles labled to have already have the additive. CW
