89eliminator
I am in the process of converting my 89 eliminator to 4wd. I have a dana 44 for the rear and a dana 30 for the front. I am also putting a 6 inch lift with 33inch bfg mud terrains. It is a 4.0 and is automatic. I was wondering if you can bolt or get an adapter to put the transfer case in. 87manche
no, the t-case is "married" to the trans. You need to find a 4WD aw4. Be careful here, as the spline counts chnaged when they went to the HO. From 21 to 23. There are also some different output shaft lengths. It would be best to get the t-case and trans together, as a unit.
BrettM
The AW4s from 87-96 are all plug'n'play as far as electronics, but they changed from 21 spline to 23 spline in 91.
