TooTall
I have a 1988 4.0 with a B-10 Peugeut that I am taking out and replacing with 1992 Commanche ax/15. In the process of replacing I noticed pilot bearing for B-10 was smaller in inner diameter. I purchased 1992 Commanche pilot bearing for ax/15 but outer diameter is smaller and fits loosely in engine. Noticed when I took out the other bearing there was a steel sleeve around it. If I were to attempt to fit this bearing I would need a very thin sleeve. One advice stated that a CJ pilot bearing for the 304 would fit. Does this bearing have rollers or just a brass sleeve. Does anyone else have any suggestions in regards to what might work.
Pete M
The CJ has a bushing, not a bearing.
