freakjeep93
i guess i shoulda seen it coming my bike is 17 years old with one stock u joint ( i replaced the other one not a fun job) and it grenaded on me last night when i was driving down the road. its still there and I'm not sure if its the problem but it certinaly feels like it i was left doin a 1st gear drove home with a constant bindin and snapping and cracking coming from the drive line so I'm pretty sure i lost the u joint . to replace the u joints you have to loosen the differental up take the pinion out then pull the shaft out while taking apart splines as you go ie its not gunna be fun fixing it and i don't really want to do it today. 87Warrior
The old Yamaha rear driveshafts are not THAT hard to work on. Have never priced a U-joint for my machine, but would fully expect it to be ridiculous.
