Broken Coil Spring Question

Recommended Posts

I was working on removing the D30 to fix my oil leak, I get the passenger tire off, start unbolting the swaybar link, and I notice that the spring is broken. It broke right where the spring is no longer actually sitting on the bucket.

So that solves the mystery as to why the UCA keeps hitting the oil pan.

I have a good set of springs up in WI(I'm in MO right now).

However, I'd like this leak fixed before I drive the 560 miles back up there. I'm thinking I could just swap the coils, put the broken one on the driver's side, take it easy, and then put the good coil in when I get home.
