Cheap tweeter repair

This would have never crossed my mind to try, but it does work. MY WJ has the infinity gold system with the dash mounted tweeters that are common to blow out. I have left mine unhooked for 6 months now because chrysler wants like $70 for new one, and with the rest of my speakers and subs I did without. Then I came across this link on NAGCA.com and it works like a charm. I used Black RTV silicone because it is what I had laying around :dunno: , and it stays flexible enough even after it dries to allow the tweeter the little bit of movement it needs. Wouldn't do this on my home theater speakers but for the car it is a cheap fix. I love backwoods ingenuity.
