I think there are 3 generations of models: original truck tent, truck tent II, and newer trunk tent III. Avail for long beds, regular cab and crew cab. And in blue or camo color.

 

I like the idea of being high and dry when I am camping, and being able to setup tent anywhere. I would have purchased the III model but got a good price on the II model last year (Camping World was making room for III models). I ended up with the long bed version, and blue color vs camo.

I'd have to have an enclosed porch on that tent, so you can at least stay dry when you need to stand up.
