jhaifley
I know this is probably a basic question, but due to rust, the entire exhaust system (everything behind the manifold) on my 87 MJ is in need of replacement. I looked up all the parts on Walker's site and ordered them. But my question is this, with all OEM style parts, will any welding be necessary or is it all bolt on? Eagle
It's all bolt-on. If you are replacing the down pipe (the front exhaust pipe, between the manifold and the catalytic converter), be sure to replace the donut.
jhaifley
Great, thanks for the info. That is a load off my mind as I cannot weld, so this is much easier. It just arrived via UPS. Never knew you could ship an exhaust pipe all by itself with no box. Just slap a label on it and away it goes. The UPS driver got a kick out of it too. At least the muffler, cat and various hangers, etc were in boxes...
FireFighter32
You might as well replace the manifold also as they are prone to cracking
