possum
Since I had the clutch master replaced on my 87' I have noticed the pedal get soft under frequent use like heavy traffic but it returns to normal after a few seconds of not being used. What could be causing this? Do you think they didn't bleed the system good enough and the is air trapped in there? 1987 2wd 4cyl 4speed.
possum
No ideas? O.K. I guess I will start by bleeding the system. I am also getting a shudder on cold damp mornings when I engage first or reverse but it goes away when it is driven a bit. Any ideas?
Duner
Your guess about air in the lines is probably correct, based on what you described, as for the shudder this is a sign that the tranny is wearing. Check the fluid levels and add a sysnthetic such as lucas or royal purple they may help the tranny survive a little longer.
Geonovast
Check to make sure all 6 bolts holding the trans to the motor and tight. It's probably not the case, but your symptoms may be a sign the bolts aren't tight enough, you don't wanna go where that can lead.
